The Loving Life Journal was created to support your family during the healing of traumatic experiences.
After experiencing the floods, we know sudden change can leave children frightened, confused and sometimes feeling insecure.
Children can respond to trauma in many different ways, whether it be bouts of sadness, aggression, hyperactivity or withdrawal from friends and family.
Reassuring your children is the key to helping through a traumatic time. Encourage children of all ages to express emotions through conversations, journaling, drawing, painting, and finding a way to help others, such as gardening for nature.
Remember Vincent Van Gogh’s words, “great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things brought together”. So take small steps towards family resilience.
And please, don’t forget to look after yourself!
NOTE: printing suggestion – print A4 one sided, then cut the page through the middle line and staple together.
