It’s exciting times at Planet Schooling. The book Planet Schooling – How to create a permaculture living laboratory in your backyard by Lucy Legan has been printed.
Call to action

This book started as a Lockdown project. Many people contacted us, asking for help as they were trying to homeschool their children. Understandably, it was difficult for some parents as they did not have the pedagogical experience. So we took this call to action seriously.
Brazilian graphic artist Felipe Horst jumped on board, and then Karl Schmidt helped pulled us through. Then we opened a Kickstarter project, and we were overwhelmed by the support to get this book out.
Planet Schooling offers more than 150 activities aimed at children aged K-12. This practical guide is packed with fun and creative ways to construct a living laboratory in the backyard. Whether your space is a balcony, a small backyard garden or a larger parcel of land, this book will equip your family with skills that will follow them into the future!

If you are new to this blog, you’ll find lots of helpful hints on how to get your permaculture dream off the paper and onto the land. If you need a little help, why not join our next Permaculture Design Course!
We also have other homeschooling booklets that suit permaculture youth. There will be many more to come in the next months.

Take a sneak peek 🙂
Some people have asked why we went to print and not to online publishing. Many of the places we work still do not have access to computers or reliable internet. And we wanted to reach as many children as possible.
We are posting through Sendle, which is a carbon-neutral business. We also support Ecocentro IPEC, a non-profit organisation in Brazil, that continually teaches and supports people in their permaculture path to greening the planet.
